Also, I'd recommend a cool mobile app called Rummble that helps you find people and places nearby (http://m.rummble.com). It has loads more functionality than other services and works anywhere around the UK - no city limits! :-) What I find most interesting about Rummble is that is personalizes results based on my own trust and interests with others, something no other location based service out there offers... plus it is UK based, I'm all about supporting Brit start-ups! I'm hooked!

If you're in to this sort of location-aware game, I highly recommend Gowalla (www.gowalla.com). It has a far more polished app and has the benefit of being able to be played anywhere with a decent mobile signal and GPS signal. There are plenty of spots in Edinburgh and Glasgow already and you can easily add your own for added kudos/stamps/items etc.
