Gay Sex Scene in Dragon Age: Origins
Kudos to BioWare for gay scene in macho industry
Acclaimed new video game Dragon Age: Origins features a ‘secret’ gay sex scene involving a man and an elf, it was revealed.
Access to the hands-on scene can only be granted if the player uses the right combination of cheesy chat up lines to seduce the warrior elf.
In a clip posted online, the gamer-controlled human character runs through the correct list of options, starting with the inevitably cheesy, “I want to discuss something personal” – one of four dialogue options available
He then makes his intentions explicit with “Can you join me in my tent?” before coming in for the kill with, “I bet you’re good at a lot of things”.
Bulls-eye. A half-notch on your bedpost; it’s an elf after all.
Expectedly, there have been juvenile comments left under the video but many gamers have congratulated BioWare for introducing a gay plot to a computer game, a refreshing departure from the ultra-macho, violent games which have become the industry’s bread and butter.
Website GayGamer.net wrote: “With this bare-chested and unflinching portrayal, it feels as if the depiction of gay sex in video games has reached a new level of equal treatment.
“This is more than just a mincing gay pirate or an evasive fade-to-black: there’s choreography, tenderness, humor and even an element of sexual politics to Zevran’s post-coital conversation.
“Kudos to BioWare for adding a bit of a gay storyline to their game and for dealing with gay romance as even-handedly as they do the heterosexual options.”
The game also features lesbian love scenes.
Dragon Age: Origins was released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC earlier his month to a wealth of praise for its stunning visuals, digital acting prowess and emotive gameplay.
Kudos BioWare, we’re struggling to think of any other instances of overt homosexual activity in computer games, anyone with any ideas please let us know in your comments.

*Applause*
Anybody who pushes the boundaries in gaming deserves great things!
Keep it up, BioWare.
