MW2 to Raise £250,000 for War Child

Activision will donate cash for each online player

Throughout this weekend, Activision, GAME and Microsoft are combining arms to raise money for the charity War Child.

Every time someone logs in to an Xbox Live multiplayer game of Modern Warfare 2, Activision will donate a sum of cash to the charity, which provides support mechanisms and relief for children whose lives have been affected by armed conflict. The Game for Good weekend kicks off at 00.00.01am on Saturday and lasts until the clock strikes midnight on Sunday night.

Activision has pledged to donate up to £250,000 to War Child through the event. It hardly needs to be stressed how much good work War Child does, so we hope the weekend’s action is enough to hit the quarter-million target.
