Alienware M11X Gets Priced
Good news for PC gamers on the go
One of the most praised products of this year’s Consumer Electronics Show was the compact and powerful gaming laptop from Alienware, dubbed the M11X.
The M11X took first place in the gaming section of CNet’s annual “best in show” awards thanks to its impressive capabilities and ultra portability, so we were expecting the retail price to be fairly steep.
The clever folks at Engadget, however, have discovered a chunk of text concealed within the source of the M11X micro site:
“The Alienware M11x, with over 6.5 hours of battery life and weighing under 4.5 lbs. will start at an amazing $799! Leave it to the folks at Alienware to enable truly mobile performance gaming at an affordable price.”
We’re not sure exactly when Alienware plans to unleash this new laptop, with a base price equivalent to less than £500 it’s an attractive prospect (though as always we’ll be lumped with a higher price on this side of the pond).
The M11X will be less expensive than the highest spec Apple iPad, and infinitely more flexible with built in webcam, 3 USB ports, 11.6-inch LCD display, NVIDIA GT335M switchable graphics and a Core2 Duo (mobile) CPU.

higher price? higher price?! they fully fucked us over with a £250 difference between US and UK. my advice to anyone in the UK who want to buy this, is to buy it in the US and then get it shipped over.. over even better, buy it on holiday. dont worry about warranty’s and shit. if it ever breaks send it to a local IT expert. dell.. what do they think they are playing at
