Guitar Hero 5 Tracks Announced

Activision has released details of the first two dozen tracks to be featured on its upcoming Guitar Hero 5. A list of featured artists has already been released for the game, which will feature 85 tracks in total, but until now no song details had been formally announced.

Today’s release listed the following artists and tracks as confirmed for the game, which ships on all formats on September 1:

· Beastie Boys – “Gratitude”
· Beck – “Gamma Ray”
· Billy Squier – “Lonely Is The Night”
· Blur – “Song 2”
· Bob Dylan – “All Along The Watchtower”
· Children Of Bodom – “Done With Everything, Die For Nothing”
· Coldplay – “In My Place”
· Darkest Hour – “Demon(s)”
· David Bowie – “Fame”
· Deep Purple – “Woman From Tokyo (‘99 Remix)”
· Elliott Smith – “L.A.”
· Iggy Pop – “Lust For Life (Live)”
· Jeff Beck – “Scatterbrain (Live)”
· John Mellencamp – “Hurts So Good”
· Kings Of Leon – “Sex On Fire”
· Queens Of The Stone Age – “Make It Wit Chu”

Oooh, Blur – Song 2 will be awesome. Still think I’ll end up sticking with the Rock Band series unless the Guitar Hero downloadable tracks go down to 99p (or less) too.
