T’internet’s Best Flash Games
Featuring karate, drums, bubbles and frogs
If last week’s list created an appetite, then this week will proceed to fill that gaping hole with another list of fantastic flash games to play. Karate, scrolling shoot ‘em ups, puzzlers, adventures, drums and of course platforming all feature prominently. You know the drill by now, scroll through the list and start playing.
Tactical rhythm flash game (such a term exists doesn’t it?) inspired by the PSP game Patapon. Play the leader of an army and command them using the beat of your drum. A game everyone should take the chance to play.
Retro platformer where every level is an example of old school gaming. Pixel perfect platforming and rock hard difficulty is order of the day.
Similar to Next Action Frog in the sense that it’s a platformer and that it’s quite difficult (nowhere near as tricky as Rick Dangerous from last week, mind) but possess a unique flair and requires quick reactions to reach the end. The sequel will be released on WiiWare and Xbox Live Arcade in the summer so this way you can get some practise in before its release.
Inspired by Street Fighter II, if you still hold any pent up frustrations towards bankers, consider this game therapeutic as Mad Karate Man beats them all into a pulp before roundhouse kicking them to see how far they’ll travel. The novelty does wear off a little quicker than expected but its still a fun time killer.
Classic arcade game in flash format. Remove all the bubbles by matching three or more of similar colors. Simple design but precision gameplay and high pressure levels makes this a timeless classic.
Point and click puzzler where you must guide an inventor through his own dreamworld to think of the greatest invention to help his people. The puzzles are somewhat simplistic but it’s the journey that is more important than the destination for this game.
Get your character through numerous traps and obstacles in as few clicks as possible in your quest to find the hidden treasure.
A game where the phrase ‘thinking outside the box’ applies perfectly. Complete the levels and follow the instructions: sounds simple but this game is fiendishly deceptive as you’ll need to take unconventional measures to solve the later puzzles.
Scrolling shoot ‘em up which follows the tried and tested method of numerous enemies, upgrades and large bosses, claustrophobic gameplay and a relentless onslaught of enemies makes it a tight and hectic affair.
Because destroying buildings is fun, right? Place explosives, detonate, make sure rubble is under a certain level and don’t destroy anything valuable.

Cool article man. Check this Flash game out. The whole series (called GROW) are fiendishly addictive and brilliantly made.
