Whilst Aussie rockers and the Modfather battled out an intriguing album chart battle of the ancients, there was much surprise in the singles chart as X Factor reject Diana Vickers hit number one with Once.

The track neutralised the RnB threat from Usher’s OMG and Chipmunk single Until you were Gone.
