Cannabis App Unveiled

Developed by the ‘cannabis lifestyle network’

Apple has approved an application called Cannabis for the iPhone and iPod Touch that provides users with the location of their nearest legal marijuana supplier.

The app, which has been developed by ‘cannabis lifestyle network’ Ajnag, shows the locations of suppliers in European countries where marijuana has been legalised and the 13 US states which have legalised the drug for medicinal purposes. It then links with Google maps in case you get lost on the way, and will point you in the direction of a local lawyer should you find yourself in need of one. The app can also be used to find local pro-cannabis activist groups.

Predictably, the tabloids have jumped on the £1.79 app as ‘shocking’. And Apple has faced some criticism for its inconsistent App Store policies recently, with a number of seemingly useful applications being rejected by the company. Nonetheless, the Cannabis app could be a very useful tool for the thousands of people who use medical marijuana to greatly improve their quality of life.
