iPhone May get Google Voice After All
Google plans to give iPhone users free texts
As we reported last month, Apple has decided to reject Google’s contract-free Voice app, much to the consternation of developer Sean Kovaks.
Now it seems that iPhone users might just be able to take advantage of the software after all. According to a report in the NY Times, Google is planning to release their application online as a Web app with all the same features such as free SMS and cheaper international calls. The app could easily be accessed by iPhones and even bookmarked on the phone’s browser.
Google hasn’t launched the site yet, but we’ll be keeping a close eye on this one.
