Taking place at Underbelly, Hoxton Square, in London’s chic Shoreditch area on Tuesday 30 November, 2010 – we have a fantastic array of musical and comedic talent for a night of great entertainment and geekery.
Our compere for the evening will be Tiffany Stevenson, fresh from a successful stint at the Edinburgh fringe where she took her Old Rope comedy night. She’s doing the same for GotY which promises to bring the same laughs.
Our comedians for the evening are Adam Bloom who has been performing sold out Fringe shows for nearly 15 years and who notches appearances on Mock the Week and Nevermind the Buzzcocks on the bedpost of a successful comedy career.
Carl Donelly is one of stand-up’s hottest properties; described simplyas “excellent” by The Sunday Times. He has won a host of awards including the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year.
Music is provided by risings stars of indie and Q magazine favourites, Ex Libras and Kerrang! picks A Badge of Friendship who will DJ into the night.

What is it?
Throughout October & November, www.geeks.co.uk are searching for, and inviting, entrants to find their Geek via our Geek of the Year Facebook page. We’re celebrating the world of modern geekery and we want you to enter.
Judging process
We are in the process of finalising our Judging Panel which will consist of representatives from top brands and agencies. They will review the uploaded Facebook pictures, entries and videos to create a shortlist for the big London bash. Selected entrants will be notified via the Facebook page or by email.
The entries that fare best through this process are both creative and inventive.
What are the Prizes?
Thanks to our partners winners will receive a goodie bag and the one crowned Geek of the Year 2010 will be flown off for a £5000 luxury holiday.

- Entrants must be resident in the UK and be over 18.
- Entrants must upload their photo/video to the Geek of the Year Facebook page with a written explanation on why they should win.
- Geek of the Year is strongly against bullying of any kind – if we feel you are bullying in any form we will remove your entry and further action maybe taken.
- Entrants must be able to attend the Geek of the Year event in London to receive their prize.
- Employees/families/agents of the Promoter and its associates are not eligible. One entry per person/per household.
- No purchase is necessary.
